Capture
Capture is the inbox for everything that might become content. The goal: zero friction between "I just thought of something" and "it's safely in the system."
Four ways in
- Write or paste. The classic quick note — title optional, tags optional. Paste a URL and Amplifier scrapes the page into the capture body for you.
- Bulk import. Point Amplifier at an RSS feed and it imports every entry as its own capture, with live progress as the import runs.
- Crystallize. A guided AI interview — in chat or out loud. Crystallize asks follow-up questions until a vague hunch becomes a concrete, structured idea. Sessions are resumable, so you can walk away mid-interview.
- Voice memo. Record a standalone memo; Whisper transcribes it into a capture automatically.
Working the inbox
Captures move through four statuses: Inbox (new), For review (needs a decision), Processed (became content), and Archived. Use the list view for triage, the board view for a kanban-style overview, and the review queue to burn through "for review" items one at a time.
Tags — yours and the AI's
Tags are how captures cluster into themes. When a capture lands with enough content, Amplifier suggests tags as one-tap chips on the detail page — accept or dismiss each one. The AI never applies a tag without you confirming it.
From capture to composition
Any capture can be promoted to a draft composition with one click — or select several in the inbox and use Draft compositions to fan them all out at once. Each capture flips to Processed and the drafting runs in the background; you'll get a notification as each draft is ready.
Left ideas sitting? The insights engine watches for stale captures and nudges you on the dashboard when your inbox is gathering dust.
